So far, with the exception of Baths' Picnic in the Park, I have been scoring 'drinks offered' as part of my bacon sandwich review. It has taken me some time to realise that this is a totally unnecessary part of the scoring process - the drink has nothing to do with the quality of the bacon sandwich, and reflects merely upon the providers choice of drinks to serve. So, with that in mind, drinks offered will no longer form a part of the bacon sandwich score. I have applied the change retrospectively to those establishments that I have already visited and the greatest change is for the New York Deli at Gateshead (the very first bacon sandwich review) which has moved from a decent three out of five to a quite good three point five. So well done New York Deli. Others are pretty much as they were, I shall post an updated list of overall scores immediately after this one.
