Spent the morning running from one end of town to the other trying to secure funds for a van hire. And all of this in the name of helping out a friend. By the time I got my sandwich it was after twelve o'clock, so there's one of the golden rules broken already. However, I had yet to eat today so it still counts as breakfast.
The Review
A doorstop sandwich served buttered and with hot, sweet tea in the rain.
The break-down, scored out of a maximum of five.

Two teas and a bacon sandwich please. I'll have the bacon quite well done; I don't mind waiting.
Bread
White, slightly crusty bread, two doorstop slices. (4)
Spread
I asked half way through if they could butter it; it already had been (4)
Bacon
Cheap but plentiful, not that that makes up for it, but there were layers and he cooked it well. (4)
Sauce
Large squeezy bottles available for my own serving if required (5)

About right on the salt level. Flavour ok. (3.5)

Drink
I took a sugary tea in a polystyrene cup and it was like the nectar of the gods I tell you. (5)
Overall rating for van outside B&Q on way in to Brislington from Bath - 4.1 out of 5
The highest score yet. And it could have been higher had they only offered the butter before applying it to the bread. This sandwich was delicious, and the cup of tea was the perfect accompaniment.
I'd like to see some scoring for success on a plate. Be it fish fingers or bacon those trusty favorites take you through a taste and nostalgic journey. Love 'the quest', GREAT!
